As everyone knows, winter and spring have been a severe letdown in Seattle this year. We are now a week into April, and I heard a statistic the other day that we haven’t hit 6o degrees a single time this year, which is record breaking. We’ve broken a lot of records lately—more rainfall than ever, the fewest sunny days over the past five months, etc.—take every statistic you DON’T like and chances are, we’ve beat it. Which is why I’ve turned to BRIGHT COLORS to fight those winter (spring?) blues.
I scored this sweater on major sale from my friends at Anthropologie. Unfortunately, it is no longer available because it sold out quickly at such a killer deal. However, I have rounded up several similar sweaters that are still in stock at the bottom of this post. I just can’t get enough of the bright colors, and the sporty detailing on the neck and cuffs contrast perfectly with the girly florals. This sweater is just slightly cropped, so I paired it with high rise dark wash denim and a bright cognac suede bootie. I also love these booties for this transitional time of year, they have open sides so you don’t need socks, but they are still thick enough to keep your toes warm. These were also on sale, so keep your eyes peeled for good booties on sale at this time of year as well. You never know, you just may (still) need them 😉
