Hello, everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA this week. If you follow me on instagram, you may know that my laptop died for good on Sunday, which is a blogger’s worst nightmare! I’m planning on purchasing a new one tonight, but for now I’m just thanking my lucky stars that because I’m a designer by day, my work computer has all of the editing tools I need to get posts done, regardless of the dead computer situation. With that being said, I am excited to share a comfortable and casual look featuring one of my very favorite color combinations: navy and gray.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, casual is my go-to look 99% of the time — I love that denim and a white tee can be styled a million different ways. However, casual doesn’t mean have to mean boring, and for this outfit I chose a pair of jeans with a fun color-block detail. You can see more of my current favorite color-blocked jeans in this post. I usually opt for neutral layers so that I can wear them over the majority of my wardrobe, like this cozy gray cardigan (on sale!). I saw a theme emerging — navy and gray — and rolled with it. I paired the outfit with my new favorite shoes, these navy Adidas gazelles, but felt like I still needed an accessory.
The outfit really came together when I topped it off with my new gray leather belt from Embrazio. Monochromatic pieces are my favorite, and I am obsessing over the warm gray leather/nickel buckle combination on this bad boy. It is designed with a subtle curve so that it actually contours to your natural hips, which makes it one of the most comfortable belts I’ve worn. Because the cardigan is so long, I felt that my top looked best tucked in (or at a minimum, front tucked), allowing the minimal design of this belt to really shine… You can be sure that I will be a repeat outfit offender with this whole look in the near future!
