Happy Sunday, everyone! Today I’d like to share a few of my current favorite denim trends. This year seems to be all about the denim details, including extreme distressing, multiple colors and textures, high low hems, and even embellishments such as jewels and pearls. I’m loving them all, but many of the jeans out there can be a bit extreme for most, so I decided to focus on three trends that I think even those that are a little less fashion forward can pull off.
Trend One: Embroidery
You all know by know that I’m more than a little obsessed with embroidery. Adding it to denim makes for such an easy outfit, just throw on embroidered jeans with a white tee and sneakers and you’re good to go! It can be as simple as a small flower detail on a pocket to stars or graffiti all over the legs.

Trend Two: Paneling and/or color-blocking (hem details a bonus!)
I love how this trend is more slightly more traditional but still gives denim a fun detail. In my opinion it looks best on skinny jeans, which are my go to style since they tend to look good with all types of tops and shoes. This multi-colored look is achieved either via sewn in panels (as seen on pair 4) or by dyeing/washing which makes for a slightly subtler detail (as seen on pair 3). If you want to test the waters with bold jeans without going so far as extreme distressing or bright colored embroidery, these guys might be the way to go.

Trend 3: Fringe/Distressed Hem
This trend is a little trickier to pull off in terms of leg length (as you all may have seen in my recent insta-stories, several pairs of this style left me feeling a bit like a scarecrow), but I absolutely love this look! It is great for spring with a pair of wedges but also dresses down and looks great with sneakers. Once you find the right pair, I guarantee they will become an instant favorite. I am also debating trying a DIY of this style and will be sure to report back or even write a post if it goes well. I like fringe everything, and these jeans are the perfect boho chic that will take you from music festivals to happy hour.
